The site will be redeveloped after the CDL Hospitality Trust (CDLHT) has sold the property to CLD and CapitaLand and developed it in a 50:50 ratio. Ascott Reit also sold some of its assets on the site, including Somerset Liang Court, to CDL.
When the Canninghill Piers Condo are completed, CDL-CapitaLand will own commercial and residential components, and 192 residential units will be placed under Ascott Reit to provide hotel licensing services. CDLHT owns a hotel with 460-470 rooms under a futures purchase agreement with CDL. Marriott International will manage the hotel, Marriott International will operate as Moxy, and the housing offered will operate as Somerset.
